Sunday Greetings

Well I haven't up dated in a few days because I was out quilting with my friends. Had a great time and now it's really nice because the sun is out and hot this is how June and July is suppose to be. It's been warm so we thought fruit smoothies would be a great treat. Kelline thought it would be fun so she got the blender out and forgot how to use it. Then when she called for help the wooden spoon got stuck. That's right the spoon is stuck on the blender blades.

All is well though and we had the best fruit smoothies on the deck with the sun betting down it was great.
I sure do love my quilting group we call the Closet Cut Ups we had a great time sewing at Konnies house so much fun I forgot to take photos. We sewed, laughed, sewed some more eat a little ha ha not. I think everyone needs a group of friends like these friends they are simply the best.

This is a doll quilt that I have made for a quilt forum that I belong to. I have fallen in love with this little quilt the colors, and the fell that it gives me when I look at it. I traced around my hands making a heart in the middle of the lightest part of the quilt then I quilted swirls around the hands, with heart and little swirls in the border

This is how It Should look

I think this is how it should look in Seattle in the month of June yes sunny and warm would be great not this rain and winter weather that we have been having. Here I sit with my warm fuzzy pink slippers, leg warmers, pink fleece PJ's, a purple fuzzy robe in the middle of June. Feeling like it is winter. Yes i am sure that this will place I waiting but not very patient

The Weather

This is how it has been the last couple of days I think I'm ready for sunny weather.I did get the two quilts done and a couple other things quilted. I will have to say that is a good thing about all this rain. Though I should have been knitting on the Death By Socks socks I did have to get quilts done. There are times I could use another one just like me I could get all kinds of things done. Being a Ceylon would be a good thing.

What Is House Work

I what to think that I an OK house keeper. Lately all I want to do is sew sew and do some more sewing. I don't want to do the laundry, the cooking, cleaning the bathroom, kitchen, weed the flower beds or anything that has the thought of something a wife would do. I think next week will be a better week for house work.
I have three thing on the deck now that I really want done and out of here. My program is finish 4 UFO's {unfinished Projects}before starting a new one. Doesn't seem to be working for me at this moment.Yes I think I have fallen off the wagon. All I want to work on is my Hoffman Challenge and this cute little doll quilt. So as soon as I get these two things done I will get back to the program. When stopping in the middle of your program at like #6 does that mean you have to start back at #1? I having never been to a meeting I was just wondering. Hello My Name Is Shawn and yes I'm a fabric alcoholic I'm sorry but I have no plans of giving up the fabric at this point in my life or anytime soon. As a matter of a fact I think I will plan being one until I'm an old lady and die. Then the kids will have to take care of it. How I have been working this is I have a plastic crate that I load 4-5 unfinished projects into I get those done then I can do a small project while I think about what 4 old projects are going to go into the crate. This has been working for me my UFO's are getting less. This is good I think it is also making realize that I have way to much stash. It's time get rid of some of this fabric, books, and some tools. So I think I am going to have a yard sale right here starting next Wednesday. I will be placing a couple items up for sale like some fabric that I longer want, some books a few tools that I no longer use. It will be fun more details to come very soon.

Today I am getting my Hoffman Challenge quilted this morning so that I can get the embellishment while watching dumb TV. This needs to be done so that I can get it sent by the end of this week. The other thing that needs to be sent this week is also for the Hoffman Challenge is my fat fairy riding on a dragon.
Then I am working on a little doll quilt for a swap that I'm doing. I have done little but never anything this little. I have done things with many pieces though. These blocks went together very quickly though. Each one of these blocks is 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" tiny blocks thank goodness I only need 16. Have a great day all :)
